Larry Hauder

Larry Hauder is a Certified Professional Mediator in Idaho and a member of the Idaho Mediation Association since 1994. His primary areas of interest and experience include organizational conflict management, organizational leadership, and creating healthy group structures. 

Larry served 12 years as a regional minister/overseer for Mennonite Churches in Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. While in that position, he assisted congregations with employment and congregational life issues. He frequently facilitated meetings where tensions ran high and an outside presence was needed. Larry served as a mentor to congregational and regional leaders demonstrating methods for using group differences to work towards positive organizational outcomes.

In addition to working within the Mennonite Church, Larry has been employed by many other denominations and faith based groups.  He’s had broad experience across the religious spectrum including, Pentecostal, Evangelical and “main line” churches as well as interfaith communities.  Larry has also consulted with a number of non-profit organizations.  

Larry has had extensive training in Family Systems theory as applied to groups. He has advanced training from Alban Institute in managing severely conflicted faith communities. He is an ordained Mennonite Pastor in good standing with the Mennonite Church USA. Larry has a bachelor's degree in Business Education and a master's degree in Religious Education.

He got his start in mediation work when serving as pastor for fifteen years in a local parish. He volunteered for a number of years as a community mediator, assisting neighbors in resolving conflict through mediation.

Larry recently ended eight years as chairperson of the Boise Ten Thousand Villages. He currently volunteers as the executive director of Common Ground Conciliation Services and serves on its board. He has a varied and rich background of serving on a variety national Mennonite Church boards and committees. He has extensive cross-cultural experience as well having lived on the Zuni Indian Reservation and in Kingston, Jamaica. 


Bob Rainville

Bob Rainville provides mediation and group facilitation services. He is certified as a Professional Mediator by the Idaho Mediation Association and as an Honorary Mediator in the Cadre of Mediators for the USDA Forest Service Intermountain Region. He mediates workplace disputes for the U.S. Forest Service in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Utah.

Bob is also certified as a Human Resource Specialist for National Incident Management Teams. In this capacity, he assists people involved with national disasters in resolving human resource conflicts, complaints, and concerns.

For four years, Bob worked as a Primary Mediator for the Shared Neutrals Alternative Dispute Resolution Program. In this position, he mediated workplace disputes, Equal Opportunity Employment complaints and Union grievances for city, county and federal agencies in Washington and Oregon.

He has mediated Small Claims disputes for the Oregon Circuit Court, Victim/Offender cases for the Union County Oregon Juvenile Department, and community disputes as a member of Union County Mediation Services.

Bob has provided workshops on conflict resolution techniques for governmental agencies and nonprofit organizations. He has also assisted in training new mediators.

Bob has over twenty years of experience in large group facilitation. He has facilitated several collaborative efforts associated with land use planning and natural resource management. These efforts included resolution of issues involving management of trails, roads, forests, fish and wildlife habitats, off-road vehicles, and river corridors and modification of policies and procedures.

He coordinated Oregon's Blue Mountains Demonstration Area for four years. Located on 2.5 million acres in eastern Oregon, the Demonstration Area was established by the Governor Oregon and the Chief to the Forest Service to demonstrate the effectiveness of collaborative approaches in achieving healthy forests and recovered species of wildlife and fish. As Coordinator, Bob facilitated resolution of conflicts involving private citizens, county governments, watershed councils, and federal and state agencies and assisted them in developing strategies that would unify their efforts and enhance their achievement of common goals.

Bob is a member of the Idaho Mediation Associations and a past member of the Oregon Mediation Association. Before moving to Idaho in 2003, he served as the President of the Eastern Oregon Mediation Center. He has a Master of Science degree from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Providence College.
